The true answer to this debate is NOT whether you have the God-Given right to have one, it is whether or not your “Individual Right” will hold you back … in your career.
Ink yourself with whatever you want. If you want a white-collar career, don’t ink where it can be seen or not covered. And no “wrist creeps”. Yes, that means even that cute little ankle tat of a rose. It looks great in jeans, and on the beach. Not in the executive suite.
The business-place landscape just isn’t ready for tat visibility in the mainstream. Maybe in 5-10 years. Even in the blue collar workplace, acceptability took many years.
Save your “Individual Rights Speech” for something important, like voting or clean water.
